BOAT CHEST
Important 18th-century curved oak chest on legs belonging
to the Swedish spice merchant Johan Eckerman.
German in style, this trunk is dated 1776 and inlaid on the front with a two-tone eight-pointed star (Rose des Vents).
The sides of this trunk are decorated with star-shaped imprints, these motifs appear to be oriental, surmounted by a cross, carved frieze at the base.
Beautiful period ironwork hinges, we note that the inside lock is missing.

COFFRE DE BATEAU
Important coffre bombé sur pieds en chêne du 18ème siècle ayant appartenu au marchand d'épices Suédois Johan Eckerman.
De type allemand, ce coffre est daté de 1776 et marqueté en façade d'une étoile bicolore à huit branches (Rose des Vents).
Les cotés de cette malle sont décorés par empreintes étoilées, ces motifs semblent être orientaux, surmontés d'une croix, frise sculptée à la base.
Belles charnières en ferronneries d'époque, nous notons qu'il manque la serrure intérieure.
